Description

The department is mandated to ensure proper sound and sustainable management of the the environment and proper settlement of communities with the environment of RDC, EMA, Forestry Commission and Traditional leaders.

CORE FUNCTIONS

-To administer the council's land use conservation by-laws.

-Settlement of land disputes and boundary disputes.

-Spearheading the planting of trees and other soil and water conservation grasses.

-Providing guidance to the sub-committees in the wards in the implementation of environment by-laws.

-To plan and monitor the enviroment and conservation activities as budgeted.
